Birthed out of a desire to show people who Jesus is in a new way, Fresh Wind desires to utilize a coffee shop - Embers Coffee Co. - as a third-space to connect with the community and build Jesus-centered relationships. A church unlike any in Metro Detroit, Fresh Wind exemplifies that the Way of Jesus is the core of our faith and everything else are details.
THE GOOD LIFE IS FOUND IN FOLLOWING AND LIVING AS AN APPRENTICE OF JESUS.
WHERE [WE] ARE
Jesus meets us where [we] are. This means that Jesus meets us in our place, wherever that is, full of our desires and needs. Our city is in need of a place to gather. Our city is in need of people to listen. Our city needs love. Fresh Wind desires to be a spiritual epicenter as Embers Coffee Co. invites every person into a space of welcome, love, grace and, of course, good coffee.

A GATHERING OF [US]
When the Church gathers, Holy Spirit is present. We learn that from Scripture. Fresh Wind wants to emphasize the communal aspect of gathering together. Together we sing. Together we pray. Together we learn. Together we meet God. There is no stage to elevate. No status to attain. Only Jesus to exalt.

DISCIPLESHIP IN [OUR] HANDS
For better or worse, emerging generations (and, let’s be honest, most of the older generations, too) have a screen in their hands or in their pocket almost all of the time. Coupled with crippling schedules and immense pressure, time for discipleship is hard to come by. That is why Fresh Wind wants to bring discipleship development to our community digitally. While this will never replace the relational necessity of disciple making, many lessons and teachings can be learned individually and in the nooks and crannies of a persons busy week. Fresh Wind desires to make available what loses no value in digital form and utilize face-to-face time for those things that truly need to be relational - corporate prayer, worship and discussion to name a few.
